Bona-Fido Puppy Dog Walks
The big wide world can seem very daunting to a puppy, and we don’t recommend taking them out for walks until two weeks after they complete their vaccinations, usually when they’re around 14 weeks old.
Puppies should be walked for a length of time suitable to their age; the generally accepted rule of thumb is five minutes per month of their life so if your puppy is 2 months old they will only need a 10 minute walk.
Puppies should not be left alone for long periods and may need 2 or 3 visits a day as they can easily become bored, distressed or destructive.
They may also have accidents in the house, so more frequent opportunities for your puppy to toilet outdoors will greatly speed up the house training process.
Should you require, we can visit your puppy, take them out for a short walk, clean up any accidents and spend time playing with them in the house or garden.
